Day 3: Designing YOUR Ideal Week
Now that we've gotten more clear on our goals (Day 1) & learned about Systems & Processes to keep us organized (Day 2), let's actually spend some time sitting down to design our ideal weekly schedule.
Planning Your Weekly Schedule
Before starting to design your weekly schedule to produce something similar to the image shown above, let’s talk about how you can best plan to be successful in committing to your daily routines & goals.
1. Maintain Focus
To help us cut out distractions, we will be scheduling dedicated ‘Block Times’ on our calendar to work on completing specific tasks/activities that directly support our Winter ARC themes, which include: cutting out distractions, engaging in daily movement, eating mindfully by focusing on anti-inflammatory/low-glycemic foods, and above all else, putting yourself first.
Yes, this means that your schedule will include engaging in daily movement, making anti-inflammatory meals and practicing mindfulness & self-care exercises that you enjoy and prioritize YOUR wellbeing.
2. Why Movement + Nutrition?
Movement & nutrition have a direct impact on how we act, think & feel---plus for us ladies, these activities really help regulate our mood/energy levels. Often times, due to the busyness of our lives we tend to forget or even overlook these areas. We skip workouts & meals in exchange for busyness not realizing that these are the very things that will help make us feel better & do better.
3. How-it-will work
After reading the workbook included in the Materials section below, determine what tool/system you will use to create & maintain your schedule. It is important for you to select something that works for you, else it will not be sustainable.
